Quick Bio:
Not enough can be said about this “powerhouse entertainer”. If you’ve ever wondered what is the difference between a singer and an entertainer, you’ve found it! Shang was introduced to the stage at the tender age of 13, and was touring Europe by age 17. Shang has toured worldwide and opened for such legends as Al Green, Gladys Knight, The Commodores, Ohio Players, Chaka Khan, Parliament, The Temptations, Jackie Wilson, and BB King. In Houston alone, he has performed in the best arenas, such as Music Hall, Jones Hall, the Astrodome, Compaq Center and Toyota Center. He was asked to become an honorary member of The Drifters, and toured with them throughout Europe and Japan. His dynamic stage presence and ability to command an audience is profound…no wonder he’s been called upon by the best of the best in the music world!

Interview Excerpt:
Growing up in the rich musical heritage of 5th Ward in Houston, Texas, Shang was immersed in musical culture. “We used to “doo-wop” on the street corners, and I would sneak in to all the shows at the concert houses. Music has always been my life. It’s what I do. Music speaks to everyone… it makes you remember places, times, events in your life… and if I can touch someone through my music, if I can make a difference, then I’ve done my job.” And you do it so well, Shang!
